Nicole Scherzinger queues up to buy One Direction merchandise.
The 35-year-old star helped form the boyband during her stint as guest judge on Britain's The X Factor in 2010 after each member auditioned solo.
Although they only came third in the final, the group - made up of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - have now found international fame with their catchy hits.
Nicole finds it odd how big the lads have become since they first started out.
“It’s weird 'cause now I’m the one queuing up in the stores to buy their merchandise," she laughed to British newspaper Daily Star. “I’m like: ‘Can I get a One Direction T-shirt?’”
Nicole also enjoyed being a full-time judge on the talent show for two seasons in 2012 and 2013. When quizzed on whether a collaboration with One Direction could be on the cards in the future, the singer didn't sound too hopeful.
“Oh no, I don’t think so – they’re too big for me now!” she mused.
The raven-haired beauty put on an energetic show for fans at Malta’s Isle of MTV festival earlier this week. Despite being in the country for work, Nicole made some time for herself when she wasn't performing.
“I got up early this morning and went and swam with tuna. They’re huge and it’s actually quite scary,” she added. “I was thinking: ‘Is this tuna going to eat me?’”
It was only recently that Nicole celebrated her sixth anniversary with Formula 1 boyfriend Lewis Hamilton. The pair have split and reunited over the years, but are now stronger than ever.
Nicole seemed to give away that the pair may tie the knot in the future after commenting on the beautiful scenery of Malta.
“I think it would be a great place for a honeymoon," she smiled.
