Selena Gomez is hoping the new year will bring a "fresh start".
The 20-year-old reportedly saw 2013 in by spending time with her on-off boyfriend Justin Bieber.
The past few months have been turbulent for the young couple, but now it seems the former Disney Channel star is looking to the future.
"New beginnings. Fresh start. I love you all :) (sic)," she shared with her followers on Twitter.
Hollywood Life reported the pretty brunette and her 18-year-old beau jetted off to Mexico to celebrate New Year's Eve.
Justin certainly seemed to be looking forward to the special night.
"hyped for NEW YEARS!! BRING ON 2013!! Well wishes to everyone ALL AROUND THE WORLD! MUCH LOVE (sic)," he excitedly tweeted.
The Beauty and a Beat singer and Selena split briefly at the end of last year, following rumours Justin had flirted with models at a Victoria's Secret show, but reconciled shortly after.
Other celebrities have also taken to the social networking site to share their wishes for the new year.
Kim Kardashian ended 2012 with the exciting news she is expecting her first child with rapper boyfriend Kanye West.
The 32-year-old recounted her top moments of the past year on her blog and wished her fans success for the next 12 months.
"Wishing you all an incredible 2013!!! Happy New Year everyone! Xo (sic)," she wrote.
Her sister Kourtney expressed her amazement at the quick passing of the past year.
The Kardashian sisters experienced an eventful 2012, launching their own clothing line for UK store Dorothy Perkins.
"I almost can't believe it's 2013! Time is flying. Happy new year! Happy January 1st. (sic)," Kourtney posted.
New Year's Eve proved an exciting holiday for Kim and fellow A-listers, who spent the night partying in Las Vegas.
The socialite cuddled up to Kanye as she enjoyed a sober evening.
“Kim and Kanye looked to be very much in love, sharing a long kiss after Kim counted down the new year to the night club. While Kim was alcohol-free, her group went through multiple bottles of Dom Perignon, and Kanye was seen touching her belly," a source told the New York Post.
Also enjoying festivities in Sin City were Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill, who jetted over from Australia after enjoying holidaying on a yacht in Sydney.
The pair flew to Vegas after a night of partying down under to watch the fireworks at the LAVO venue.
