Jordin Sparks has opened up about her split from Jason DeRulo.

The 24-year-old singer’s three-year relationship with the Talk Dirty hitmaker recently came to an end, with Jason confirming the news just last week.

While Jordin has posted a series of cryptic remarks on social media, the former American Idol-winner candidly addressed the topic on America’s Today show Monday.

"I'm good, actually," she insisted. "The funny thing is I read this quote, 'When something unexpected happens in your life or you think something bad happens, just say, plot twist! And move on,'" she mused.

The remarks followed a tweet alluding to the split last week, echoing her optimistic sentiment.

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened,” she wrote.

Jason previously addressed the rumours in an interview with Minneapolis radio station KDWB last week, insisting the split was amicable.

"Everything is cool man. It's not a bad situation, it's not one of those kinds of things," he said.

The crooner later opened up about his time with Jordin, revealing he still has warm feelings for her.

“I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met," he told ABC News.

“But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part."
