Steve Vai aims for Guinness Record

The next Steve Vai record may just be a Guinness Book of Records record.

The guitarist has joined forces with Berkleemusic, the online education arm of the Berklee College of Music, to create the largest online guitar lesson.

The first of its kind event is due to take place on March 3rd, 2011.

"This online event, and the larger efforts Berkleemusic is making to teach students around world, is a great example of the collaboration that happens at Berklee," says Vai. "Whether you're in Boston, Bombay, or Brussels, we'll all be together on March 3rd."

Vai will teach the free 30-minute guitar lesson, providing a look at his technique and focus on how guitarists can develop and gain insight to their own playing.
