Stone Temple Pilots in partnership with Genero.tv are giving fans the chance to make the official music video for new track ‘Black Heart’.
Genero.tv is an Australian based website, started in 2009, to brings creative filmmakers and the music and advertising industries together. The way it works is that artists such as the Stone Temple Pilots lend their music to the project and then filmmakers from all over the world send in their submissions to become the official music video.
With the lack of any kind of brief from the band, Genero.tv encourages filmmakers to be creative with their ideas. It’s certainly fitting that the word ‘genero’ is Latin for ‘to create’.
In addition to the honour of having your video becoming the official STP ‘Black Heart’ video, the winner will also be paid a cool $5000 for their effort.
Other artists that have partnered with Genero.tv include Moby, Alt-J, M83, Muse, David Bowie and Australia’s own Temper Trap for their hit, ‘Love Lost’.
