MADRID-CASTELL&Ocute; | Sunday, January 9th - 2012

The Tanned Tin’s aim is to create an innovative independent music festival featuring up-and-coming artists and acts. Independent artists are offered a venue to reach European audiences hungry for cutting edge works. The range of programming includes post-hardcore, country, folk, pop, experimental and acoustic. Tanned Tin creates an experience where performers and their audiences are in close proximity to connect them in a way that has been lost in the larger and commercialized events. The line-up has been put together once again with the non-pragmatic, idealist spirit of the most incurable music addicts.

Apart from its unique criteria when choosing the artists, an unmistakable distinguishing characteristic of the Tanned Tin is that it offers its fans the possibility to enjoy the best live music in surroundings similar to your own living room, allowing you to concentrate and watch without any annoyances or interferences, with the audience comfortably seated watching the shows in an almost religious silence which is only interrupted by jubilant cries similar to those incited by Dean Wareham playing Galaxie 500 songs in 2010, The Wave Pictures in 2009, Come’s reunion concert in 2008, Tarentel or The Ex performances in 2007, M.Ward or Okkervil River in 2006, Herman Düne and Animal Collective in 2005 or Coco Rosie and The New Year in 2004.
