Carnegie Hall was filled with the sounds of the Rolling Stones on Tuesday night with promoter Michael Dorf's annual foray into a classic artists career.

The Music of... series has previously seen salutes to Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, the Who and R.E.M. This year, Dorf took a slightly different direction with the show, asking the guest performers to sing songs from the Stones' Hot Rocks 1961-1971 album.

According to the many reviews out on the internet, the night saw a mix of faithful versions of the songs and reinterpretations. Artists included Ronnie Spector, Steve Earle, Jackson Browne, Rosanne Cash, Rickie Lee Jones, Taj Mahal, Ian Hunter, Marianne Faithfull, surprise guest Art Garfunkel and more.
