This double A side from Georgian artist Nash Albert is a fore taster for his forthcoming album.

The first track When I’m not Around is in the Tom Petty Americana sphere of things especially on the chorus and harmonies. City is Burning, as one can guess from the title, takes a different tack. Its more downbeat, though has a bigger, brasher sound with Albert’s vocals occasionally hinting at latter day Dylan.

What these singles hint at is a diverse album and with Ian McNabb (The Icicle Works) producing, it should be worth investigating.
