Peter Gabriel donates lyrics to charity

PETER GABRIEL has donated a handwritten sheet of his lyrics to raise money for charity.

The former Genesis star has given the lyrics to his 1980 song Biko to Cyndi Lauper's gay cause, True Colours.

They will go under the hammer at an online auction later this month.

The song was written in tribute to South African anti-apartheid veteran Steve Biko, who was killed in 1977 by police officers while in custody for political reasons.
