The world’s biggest Afrobeats and Amapiano festival Afro Nation is making its debut at ADE this week. “Afro Nation : A Movement” explores the mainstream rise of Afrobeats and Amapiano along with the launch of the global festival and formation of the Official UK Afrobeats Chart and Billboard Afrobeats US Songs Chart, and will be presented by Africadelic and Paradiso on Sunday 20th October at Melkweg Cinema, Amsterdam.
Already approved by the likes of Mixmag and DJ Mag, this short film produced by _finalversion and The Malachite Group was shot during Afro Nation Portugal 2023. The program will be introduced by Nigerian Afrobeats artist Clinton Francis aka Frezzo, and also features the short film ‘Ayra Starr: Dare to Dream’. Ayra Starr has recently been announced for Afro Nation Portugal 2025 for the highly anticipated fifth anniversary year, alongside LIT Stage headliners Burna Boy and Tems, as well as Piano People Stage headliners Scorpion Kings and DBN Gogo and more.
